When the operation is performed using the FemtoLASIK technique or IntraLASIK:
It is mainly indicated for patients who have adequate age and ocular parameters (graduation, corneal thickness, pupillary size and others) and who also do not present any contraindication.
What is the FemtoLASIK technique? or IntraLASIK:
This technique is also often called 100% laser surgery because, in addition to using the excimer laser To carve the cornea, first apply the femtosecond laser to prepare the cornea.
As in the other procedures with excimer laser, it is a treatment that is performed on the cornea, on the external surface of the eye, in just a few minutes and with only a few drops of anesthetic eye drops.
In the technique FemtoLASIK or IntraLASIKBy applying the femtosecond laser, a FLAP (superficial disc of corneal tissue similar to a lens) is obtained, which is removed to preserve it from the action of the excimer laser.
